Spotify Mix Reel
Creative Art Direction & StoryboardsA New Brand Typeface
Spotify Mix is a remix of classic typeface genres — geometric, humanist, grotesk. Designed by our friends at Dinamo, Spotify Mix is a variable font that is as functional as it is dynamic and full of personality.
The brand team wanted a way to showcase Mix’s range on and off platform. So we partnered with Vucko to bring our designs to life, in an action packed sizzle reel that we could send out for press releases and display across our offices.

Fan Life Global Campaign
Creative Art Direction, DesignFrom Mosh Pits to Bald Caps
While most music campaigns at Spotify highlight the artists, Fan Life puts the focus on fans. We captured fans in striking IYKYK photo and video vignettes and plastered them across cities across the globe via guerilla wild postings, projections and social films. No tagline, no CTA, just a yellow scrawled “Fan Life” and a Spotify logo sign-off.
We cast real fans with real experiences, from Uzi fans finding community in the mosh pit, to women in bald caps emulating Mr. Worldwide. The campaign was a celebration of fandom and community, and Spotify’s way of saying “we see you!”

EQUAL Visual Identity
Art Direction & DesignRefreshing A Global Initiative
EQUAL is a Spotify global initiative that highlights women in music. Online, EQUAL features music made by women on branded playlists. Offline, EQUAL hosts conferences and networking events to increase equity in the industry.
Launched in 2021, I was tasked with refreshing the visual identity including updating the typography to Spotify Mix, developing a motion system, and expanding color palette for regional events and sub-brands. The bars of the ‘E’ became the building blocks of the system, building layouts and moving across screens with confidence to bring content on and off.

SWEAT Tour Partnership
Creative Art DirectionAre You Ready To Sweat?
Spotify partnered with Charli xcx and Troye Sivan to host an exclusive after party after their SWEAT tour stop in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum. Charli and Troye collaborated with our internal team to film lo-fi behind-the-scenes content to promote the tour and after party, in addition to the official setlist playlist on platform.
As part of the creative team, I ideated on and created takeaways for the event and designed out-of-home promotion for the setlist in cities across our North America perms in a lo-fi, clubkid aesthetic, true the tour’s brand world.

Discover Weekly 10yr Anniversary
Creative Art Direction & StoryboardsMore Channels for Discovery
Discover Weekly set the bar for personalized playlists when it first launched in 2015. For its 10th anniversary, the playlist got both a product feature upgrade as well as a new look and feel.
New feature controls allowed listeners to discover more within specific genres. To represent these new channels of discovery, we created a system of cards that shuffled, re-organized, and revealed new artists, all to communicate that discovery doesn’t have to be hard, in fact you often find what you weren’t even looking for, but what you never knew you needed. All you have to do is tap play and you’ll know when you hear it.

Wrapped 2023 Experience & Campaign
Design & Motion Direction, Product ExperienceDesign Support, Campaign
The Realest Thing on the Internet
Wrapped has become an annual moment of truth, a cultural conversation about what the year had to bring and what artists, songs, and podcasts got us through the year The 2023 campaign focused on our strategy, “to be the realest thing on the internet.” We aimed to bring the receipts for how everyone’s year really went. Were you going through a breakup like Olivia Rodrigo? Or compulsively adding “graah” to the end of every sentence?
In the product experience we introduced new data stories including month-by-month listening graphs for your top five artists and ‘sound-towns’ which showed what geographical area listened similarly to you. These new data stories sparked a lot of debate online about what that data meant about each listener. Together, the experience and campaign got people talking about their listening stats in fun and unexpected ways.

96 KING STREET Identity
Art Direction & Web LayoutRaw Meets Refined
At Gretel, I lead design on a small but mighty team to create the branding and microsite for a new luxury condo in Red Hook Brooklyn at 96 King St. The 3-unit building is home to three distinctly unique floor plans, complete with secret passageways and sunbathing rooms that offer a rustic yet elevated lifestyle.
The branding was directly inspired by the mix of raw and refined materials used in the building’s construction. Exposed terracotta, pink and green terrazzo, and wood-burning fireplaces together create a warm yet elegant color palette, while the photography focused on the architect’s use of natural light within the space. The result was a craftsman inspired identity that set the 96 King Street residence apart from anything else on the market.

Curology Rebrand
Art Direction & DesignSkincare Gets a Facelift
Gretel partnered with Curology’s in-house marketing team to refresh the direct-to-consumer skincare brand with new guiding principles, tone of voice, and an ownable visual identity.
Our key objective was to strike a balance between an approachable confidant and a licensed dermatologist. The result was a tone of voice that is direct, but friendly, a typeface that is clean but with a display option that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and modular layouts that keep information clear and legible, while color and animation add warmth and fun.

IBM Think Tour 2022
Art Direction, Design & Animation
Bringing Insights To Light
BUCK was tasked with concepting and producing a visual identity and broadcast package for IBM’s Think Conference in a post-pandemic world.
Our visual concept follows the node, the most elemental part of IBM’s visual identity, as it cuts through an opaque background to illuminate what insights may lay underneath. A stripped down and minimal approach focused on connection points and collaboration set a tone that felt appropriate for the conference that year.

Adobe CC Dynamic Logo
Art Direction, Design & AnimationCelebrating Creativity
Adobe came to BUCK to create a logo animation that showcased the range of creativity that their suite of tools enables. The result was a dynamic logo that cycled through seven Adobe software-specific pieces of art inspired by the following themes: growth, community, collaboration, reinvention.
To capture that spirit, we opened this brief up to the larger BUCK collective to opt into. The only rules: each design should have the color palette of the corresponding software it’s meant to evoke, and the design must use that software in some capacity. In practice, this concept grew into an animated exquisite corpse. An evolving design that is handed off from one discipline and color to the next, and many many wonderful explorations.

Squarespace “Make It Real”
AnimationWhat If Dracula Designed A Website?
Squarespace came to BUCK to develop and execute a spot for their “Make it Real” campaign. In it, we reimagined the legendary Dracula as a modern entrepreneur. Eternal Eyes, is a high-end eyewear brand, offering a chic solution to his notorious photophobia.
From the sets design to the actual squarespace website the team built Eternal Eyes’ fictional brand from the ground up. As a designer and 2D animator on the project I translated the website for mobile ensuring the hi-fashion editorial layouts kept their visual impact at every screen size.
